Saving you money with square pads and cartridge rolls!

One of the biggest costs to metal fabrication is damage to products by a miss application of tools and grinding wheels. The first thing is safety and the right tools and abrasives for your job! Let's take stainless steel pipes with seam welds to remove. Some shops believe that a grinding wheel will give them the finish that they are looking for. Allot of times you have stop and start marks in the pipe which will create more clean up time. We on the other hand, always recommend the square pads that come in the abrasives with cloth backing. With grits in 60 to 600 grit. We recommend using them on a horizontal tool with either a collet or a straight shaft 3/8=24 or a 1/4 collet mount. The pads will come in Aluminum Oxide or Ceramic with a flexible backing. What this will do is give you a nice blended finish along with the weld removal.. You can also get this material in an abrasive cartridge rolls. That can be used for the same applications.

Using the right tools for the job? This would depend on the size of the square pad to match the horse power or if you want a horizontal or vertical tool to do the job. Die Grinders will do the job for the cartridge rolls but you want the right horse power! Our goal is to save you time and money by changing applications on tools and abrasives that where not out there 5-10 years ago. By reducing time and using the right equipment will improve your bottom line! If you have any questions give is a shout at (800) 577-8825 or email us at Sales@Industrial-Supply-Store.com
