Inside edge grinding has problem areas!

Inside edge grinding has problem areas!
Inside grinding creates a host of problems in the final finish before the buff. Allot of times the kitchen or Stainless Steel Company uses the carbide burrs to get the weld down to the radius inside corners. But as you know that carbide burrs is good for an experience grinders but the new operator can do more damage that will create more work. So there is a couple of ways that you can do this job. We can go to a Dynabrade belt sander with a radius on the tip of the contact tire. And then use a scalloped edge belt. This reduces the gouging on the edges of the surface that you are grinding. Or we can go to an abrasive cartridge rolls they come in many size and grits. This will allow for a more blended inside edge finish. The cartridge rolls will come in A/O products and the ceramic will give you a faster cut and longer life. But back on the first article on square pads we can use them on the longer welds but when you come up to the smaller edges then you would go to the cartridge rolls or carbide burrs and then when you have it done then you can go to a buffing operations. Cartridge rolls come in straight and tapered sided. With assorted widths and lengths. Carbide burrs also come is a variety of styles from cone to ball. Then in different widths also. So chose the right one for your application. If you need help or recommendations for your application feel free to email us or call.
